President, Organizing Committee
The 82nd Korean Congress of Radiology
On behalf of the Organizing Committee, it is my great pleasure and honor to invite you to the 82nd Korean Congress of Radiology (KCR 2026), which will be held from September 9 to 12, 2026, at KINTEX 2 in Goyang-si, Korea.
Under the theme of “Humanity Through Imaging,” KCR 2026 will explore the future direction of radiology in an era of rapid technological transformation. As artificial intelligence, precision imaging, and multidisciplinary care continue to reshape our field, we hope to reflect on how radiology can remain deeply connected to its essential mission: serving patients, society, and humanity.
KCR 2026 also marks a new chapter in the history of our congress. After nearly two decades at COEX, KCR is moving to KINTEX 2 this year. This transition represents not only a change of venue, but also the continued growth, renewal, and expanding vision of KCR as a leading international radiological congress in Asia.
The congress will feature an outstanding scientific program led by distinguished experts from Korea and abroad. We are privileged to welcome Dr. Jongmin Lee as our Congress Lecturer. His lecture, entitled “Reverting Radiology to the Human World,” will address the future development and direction of radiology in alignment with this year’s theme. KCR 2026 will also present excellent plenary lectures, a special Humanity Session, and a wide range of scientific, educational, and interactive sessions.
This year, we are especially proud to host two meaningful milestone events that embody the spirit of “Humanity Through Imaging.” KCR 2026 will launch the KSR Patient Advisory Group, a pioneering initiative to strengthen patient partnerships and bring patients' voices more actively into radiological practice, education, communication, and policy. We are also honored to hold the WHO CT-IHA Guidance Launch Session at KCR 2026, contributing to global discussions on the appropriate and safe use of CT in individual health assessment.
Beyond the scientific program, KCR 2026 will offer valuable opportunities to reconnect with colleagues, build new collaborations, and experience the vibrant atmosphere of Goyang. To celebrate our new venue, we are pleased to introduce a morning running program on Thursday around the beautiful Goyang Lake Park, bringing participants together in a spirit of friendship, energy, and renewal.
I sincerely hope you will join us at KCR 2026. Together, let us explore how radiology can continue to advance science and technology while remaining grounded in compassion, responsibility, and humanity.
I look forward to welcoming you to KCR 2026 in Korea.
Sincerely yours,
